Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Operations Assistant with experience in ground up construction representing the general contractor to join our dynamic team. The Construction Operations Assistant supports the construction management team by coordinating various operational tasks, ensuring projects run smoothly from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

The Ground Up Construction Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of construction projects. Responsibilities typically include:

  • Assisting in project planning and scheduling.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and compliance paperwork.
  • Supporting the project manager in tracking project costs and budgets.
  • Conducting site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Work is primarily in the corporate office; limited remote

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED. An associate's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in construction, project management, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with construction processes and terminology is essential.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to get others to meet requirements when they do not report to you.
  • English - oral and written is a requirement.  Spanish is a strong preference


Compensation

  • Salary ranges from $35,000 to $75,000 depending on experience 
  • This role is non-exempt and is paid overtime for hours worked in a week in excess of 40
  • The company pays 100% of  medical, dental, and vision for the employee and dependents
  • 13 paid holidays, one floating holiday per year
  • 15 days of Paid Time Off per year; PTO is accrued at a rate of 4.62 hours per biweekly pay period
